The 76-year-old victim of the Golders Green terror attack, Moshe Shine, has been pictured as Boy George revealed he was caught up in the incident

The 76-year-old victim has been named locally as Moshe Shine

A victim of the horrific terror attack in Golders Green has been pictured for the first time, with friends describing him as "the nicest guy" who "wouldn't hurt a fly." 76-year-old Moshe Shine was one of two men, alongside 34-year-old Shloime Rand, who were stabbed in north London at approximately 11:15am yesterday.

A 45-year-old British national, born in Somalia, remains in custody after being arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. Police believe the individual accused of the attack was involved in another "knife altercation" just hours before the incident. The investigation is ongoing as authorities look into the circumstances surrounding both confrontations.

Meanwhile, pop star Boy George has revealed he was at the scene shortly after the stabbing took place. The attack has sent shockwaves through the local community, with many paying tribute to Mr. Shine following the traumatic events, reports The Mirror.

He said: "Even before I knew what had happened I was in tears because you could feel panic in the air. These are just regular people getting [on] with their lives..."

Sharing a post on X, the star said: "I was in Golders Green yesterday. I arrived just as the police presence was building. My heart goes out to the two Jewish victims and to their loved ones. We need to make our Jewish community know we support them. Even before I knew what had happened I was in tears because you could feel panic in the air.

"These are just regular people getting with their lives. London has always been a great multicultural city. Our Jewish community brings us so much. They are an integral part of the fabric of this city."

Moshe Shine is said to have been "waiting to go home by bus at the bus stop" when he was stabbed.

A friend of Mr Shine told The Sun that the 76-year-old is "very softly spoken" and "very generous". They added: "He’s a very nice, smiley guy. Really the nicest guy. He never lost his temper or raised his voice".

The friend continued: "I have spoken to his nephew and he was the one who told me that he is in a serious condition. One of his wounds is very serious, I think it was in the neck."

Another of his friends, named Norman, told the newspaper: "We are all shocked because he is the nicest guy who would not harm a fly."
