Pervert caught on CCTV 'raping farmer's prized pig'

CCTV footage showed the hoodie-clad man climbing into the enclosure, where the mother pig lay sleeping next to her piglets

A farming family in the Philippine province of Palawan is seeking justice after their prized sow was allegedly sexually assaulted by an intruder. The disturbing incident, which was captured on a security camera, has prompted a police investigation and left the owners determined to find the person responsible. The event unfolded in a small village on April 11, when a man wearing a hoodie was recorded entering the pig's enclosure during the night.

The owners, the Garcellano Abin family, became aware that something was wrong on the morning following the attack when they noticed the sow was in visible distress. This particular pig was highly valued by the family for its history of birthing healthy litters of piglets. Upon a closer examination, the owners discovered the animal’s genitals were bruised and swollen. Their concern grew when they saw that the CCTV camera positioned inside the pen had been taken down in an apparent attempt to destroy evidence.

Fortunately for the investigation, the intruder's efforts to cover his tracks were unsuccessful. The security system had automatically uploaded the video footage to a cloud-based server before the camera was dismantled. This recording allegedly shows the hooded individual climbing into the pen where the mother pig was resting with her piglets before the assault took place. After perpetrating the act, the man is seen on the video noticing the camera and then disabling it.

In the wake of the incident, the family promptly filed a report with local police. "My poor pig, abused by a human animal," said farmer Gem-gem Garcellano Abin, expressing her anguish and resolve. She noted that the perpetrator's choice of wearing a hoodie suggested an awareness of the cameras and a deliberate attempt to conceal his identity. The family has since installed new security cameras and is resolute in their efforts to assist law enforcement in identifying and capturing the suspect.

This shocking case is reportedly the latest in a series of animal sexual abuse incidents to trouble the popular tourist region of El Nido in Palawan. In a separate event on December 27, a man was arrested for allegedly serving as a lookout while his friend sexually assaulted a goat. The teenage suspect in that case was also reportedly caught weeks later abusing a female water buffalo. These repeated instances of bestiality have raised alarm and disgust within the local community.
